Part 2: Water Treatment 'Requirements. Fully automatic pair pressure filters can be characterized as follows:

• Clean the water supply to the water while the filters are flushed
• The high oxygen content of purified water gives fresh water a fresh flavor and contributes to the inhibition of corrosion in the urban water network.
The oil-free compressor supplied with the pressure filter gives compressed air to the water for aeration and for the operation of the pneumatic actuators with filters. For larger filters, air to water will also be flushed. The pair pressure filters are only washed with purified water.
So far, the experience of operating fully automatic pair pressure filters installed by us has shown that iron and manganese content of purified water, as well as other quality parameters that affect the organoleptic characteristics of water and characterize general pollution, meet the requirements for drinking water in Estonia.
Thanks to the intensive aeration, the water supplied to the water network has enough dissolved oxygen to give the water a fresh and pleasant taste.
The high oxygen content of the water (O2> 3.0 mg / l) creates the prerequisites for the elimination of the undesirable anaerobic environment in the water pipelines and the inhibition of corrosion in the water network.
